Marine fuel supply across the Suez Canal and Egyptian ports

Bunker Fuel Supply in EGYPT

The Suez Canal is one of the world’s most critical maritime corridors, with more than 23,000 vessels transiting annually, alongside significant traffic calling Egyptian ports. Positioned at the crossroads of global trade between Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Egypt represents one of the most strategic bunkering markets worldwide.

Minerva is a leading bunker fuel supplier in Egypt, providing marine fuel supply to vessels transiting the Suez Canal and calling Egyptian ports, including Port Said, Alexandria, Damietta, Suez and Sokhna. Our operations support vessels awaiting both northbound and southbound canal transit convoys, enabling refuelling without deviation or delay.

We supply a full range of marine fuels, including marine gasoil (MGO), low sulphur fuel oil (VLSFO) and high sulphur fuel oil (HSFO), sourced through Minerva’s global cargo network across the Mediterranean and Red Sea. Through our integrated supply chain, we ensure reliable availability, competitive pricing and efficient delivery across this critical shipping corridor.

Minerva’s Egyptian service is supported by substantial physical logistics infrastructure, including a 150,000 DWT floating storage unit (MV Cronus) and a fleet of modern bunkering tankers. This enables flexible delivery on both sides of the canal and supports efficient, multi-port supply solutions for vessels operating in the region.

Developed in close cooperation with Egyptian authorities and port operators, our operations are fully licensed and integrated into local port infrastructure, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable bunkering services.

By combining physical supply capability, global trading strength and local operational expertise, Minerva enables customers to reduce deviation costs, optimise fuel procurement and maintain operational efficiency across one of the world’s most important maritime routes.
